Applications are now open for Normandale Community College’s Growth and Advancement through Inclusive Education (GainED) program.
GainED is an inclusive higher education program that empowers students with intellectual and developmental disabilities to navigate their educational journey, gain meaningful experiences, and transition confidently into work and community life through inclusive, credentialed learning at Normandale.
In the GainED program, students earn a Comprehensive Applied Skills Certificate while receiving continuous support from a success coach and peer mentors through a person-centered process. Program components include academic, professional, social, and independent living experiences while participating fully in campus life. The program consists of 17 required credits, 13 elective credits, internship experiences, and supplementary workshops designed to help students develop the skills, confidence, and experiences needed for success beyond college.
